And that’s a wrap. I started my new manuscript on Monday and I’m already 20,000 words in! Horaah! Now it’s no surprise that this is another eerie, lustful, action-packed read with a kick-a$$ heroine. And as I found myself twirling on my chair staring at the ceiling today, taking one of many writing breaks, I had to wonder to myself… do I secretly wish I was an evil character? Okay, hear me out. I have three reasons to lead to this question…
I recently had to remind myself that experiencing new things was a wonderful way to spark imagination and creative muse. I usually experience so many different and wonderful things when I travel and for the last year, I’ve gotten into a very strict routine which hasn’t offered much time for exploration. So, I decided to go to my local mountains, Mount Tamborine, hike through the rainforest and check out a ‘Glow Worm’ cave.
I think it’s time to rest after the storm. WOWZERS, Token Phantom was a hella crazy release last week. And I doubled it up with a deadline to send to the editor too. (I’m a sucker for punishment) So this week I’m focusing and reminding myself the importance of self-love, care and rest.
